Welcome to Day 2 of the Clean It Up Challenge at Gold Pointe Fitness Club!

Good morning and welcome to Day 2 of the Clean It Up Challenge!

You made it through Day 1 with flying colors, and now it’s time to shift our focus. Today, we’re going to look at what you put ON your body. Just as we clean up our diet, we need to be mindful of the products we use on our skin.

Today’s Focus: Cleaning up what you put ON your body.

Our skin is our largest organ, and it absorbs much of what we apply to it. Many conventional personal care products contain harmful chemicals that can affect our health over time.

Why Natural and Non-Toxic Products?

Conventional beauty and personal care products often contain harmful chemicals such as parabens, phthalates, and synthetic fragrances. These substances can disrupt your hormones, irritate your skin, and contribute to long-term health issues. By choosing natural, non-toxic products, you can reduce your exposure to these harmful ingredients and support your body’s natural functions.

Your Guide to Day 2:

  1. Clean It Up Challenge Guide: Make sure you have your copy of the guide, which includes essential information about today’s focus. If you don’t have it yet, you can pick up your copy from the front desk.

  2. Ingredient Awareness: Start paying attention to the ingredients in your personal care products. Aim to replace items with simpler, more natural alternatives.

  3. Daily Essentials: Focus on the products you use every day, like soap, shampoo, deodorant, and lotion.

Day 2 Action Items:

  1. Read the Guide: Start by reading the section labeled “Day Two: What You Put On Your Body” in your Clean It Up Challenge Guide.

  2. Product Audit: Go through your bathroom cabinets and toiletries. Look at the ingredient lists and set aside products with long lists of chemicals or ingredients you can’t pronounce.

  3. Make a List: As you go through your products, keep a running list of items you want to replace or upgrade.

  4. Check-In: Head over to our GPFC facebook page and share your findings! This will help you stay accountable and motivated.

Extra Tips for Success:

  • DIY Solutions: Consider making your own personal care products with simple, natural ingredients. There are many recipes online for DIY skincare and haircare.

  • Read Labels: Learn to read and understand labels. Look for certifications like USDA Organic, EWG Verified, or Made Safe.

  • Gradual Change: Don’t feel like you need to replace everything at once. Start with the products you use most frequently and gradually switch to healthier alternatives.

Remember, the goal today is to get real about the quality of the products you use on your body. By choosing natural and non-toxic products, you’re taking another significant step toward better health and well-being. Keep up the fantastic work, and don’t hesitate to ask questions or share your progress. We’re all here to support each other. Make it a wonderful day!
